Hokkaido Treats are made from the Hokkaido pumpkin which is a variant of the well-known large pumpkin and is native to Japan. The Hokkaido pumpkin differs as it contains less water, is not as rich in fibers and still very firm.
The Hokkaido-pumpkin also contains many minerals, nutrients and vital substances, which have a positive effect on shrimps. Notably this includes ß-carotene, which is an important protective substance for the body's cells. It has strong antioxidant properties and protects the cells from attack by free radicals. Other like Vitamin C, vitamins of the B group (pantothenic acid, folic acid), as well as in the minerals and trace elements of magnesium, calcium and potassium.
